CAMAF recognises that preventative wellness plays a crucial role in your continued wellbeing and that taking the first step towards a healthy lifestyle starts with you. Our approach to wellness focuses on prevention and management of disease – tailor-made to each individual.
Prevention is promoted through the CAMAF Preventative Wellness and the structure of benefits supporting the outcomes of screening tests from this benefit.
What does the wellness benefit entail?
- CAMAF Preventative Wellness Cover – available on all options: CAMAF covers the cost of a general check-up at various practitioners (GP, Dietician, Dentist, Optometrist, Specialist) without affecting your other benefits. The check-ups are ICD10 code specific and are not limited to designated services providers unless you are on a network option. Click here to view the applicable codes for check-ups.
- Immunisation and vaccines benefit available on all options.
- Health screenings, which include a pap smear and mammogram for women or a PSA screening for men.
- One health risk assessment (HRA) – to be done at a CAMAF wellness day or a network pharmacy.
- Psychotherapy benefit available on all options: Your mental health is just as important as your physical health.
- Multiply, our wellness service provider and loyalty programme provides you with access to wellness and lifestyle benefits, which will assist in your quest to maintain and enhance your health. Health Check Boost benefit
To encourage our members to use their available wellness benefits, the Health Check Boost benefit allows you to unlock an additional R500 day-to-day cover (per beneficiary) when you complete the following wellness screenings in the same year:
